Off to the South!

This is what it takes to get ready to go for a week!  The doorman downstairs brings up the shopping cart and we load it up and head for the car.  This is the elevator just outside the door to our home.

Driving south from Concepcion, we go by a city named Cabrera - lots of factories - many of them logging related, we think.  Can you see all of the smoke?  Not sure I would want to live there!

Not a great photo (taken from the moving car), but this is a sample of el campo de Chile - the countryside.  So many rolling green fields.  Lots of cattle and sheep.  Beautiful!

Can you pick out the ginormous snow covered volcano?  We think that this is the Llaima volcano.  It hasn't erupted since 2009, so no worries, right?!

A blurry shot of a welcome sight after a long drive - not too long, about 3 1/2 hours.  This will be our home away from home for the next 5 nights.
Just outside of our window - it is fall in Chile!
